Research

My work spans the full chain from monomer design and polymerisation through to device fabrication and chiroptical characterisation, a combination that is rare in the field.

I demonstrated the first performance enhancement of organic solar cells arising from donor-polymer chirality (Adv. Mater. 2024), and co-authored the first observation of a spin thermoelectric effect in non-magnetic chiral materials, with the Naaman and Paltiel groups (J. Mater. Chem. A 2026).

At KAUST, working with Prof. Martin Heeney, I am building dedicated measurement capabilities for chiral materials, including a CD/CPL spectrometer and a conductive AFM setup for studying chirality-induced spin selectivity.

Outside the lab

I have been practicing alpinism for the past 7 years: I successfuly climbed Mont Blanc (4810 m) and am preparing for Aconcagua in 2027. I am also a PADI Divemaster with over 20 years of diving, and I build and paint miniatures and terrains in-between my travels.
